This is template wording for the site rebuild. It must be reviewed and approved by Britannia Qualify’s legal advisers before launch.
1. What we collect
We collect the information you give us at enrolment — your name, email address, phone number and date of birth — and information about your progress on the learning platform.
We also collect basic website usage data: the pages you view, the approximate country your visit comes from, your device type, the site that referred you and how long each page is on screen. This is first-party analytics — it sets no cookies and does not store your IP address. Each visit is identified only by a code derived from your IP address, browser and the date, which changes every day and cannot be traced back to you.
2. How we use it
We use your data to provide your course, register you with the awarding organisation, issue your certificate, and contact you about your enrolment.
Our learning-management system is a processing location for course and progress data.
We use website usage data only in aggregate, to understand which pages are useful and how visitors move through the site. It is not used to identify or profile you.
3. Who we share it with
We share data with the awarding organisation (Focus Awards), our payment provider, our email provider and our hosting providers, each under a data-processing agreement.
Our first-party website analytics involves no third-party processor.
4. Cookies and retention
Our website analytics uses no cookies and needs no consent. We use only the essential cookies required to run the site.
Website analytics records are automatically deleted after 90 days. Enrolment, assessment and certification records are kept for seven years to meet awarding-organisation requirements.
5. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to the records the awarding organisation requires us to keep.
