About this qualification

This knowledge-only award covers the principles that underpin all assessment: the purpose of assessment, the different methods and when to use them, how to involve learners, and the roles of the people involved in the quality-assurance cycle. It is studied entirely online with a dedicated tutor who reviews every submission and gives written feedback until your work meets the criteria. There are no exams and no workplace observation — it is ideal if you need the theory quickly, or as a stepping stone to a full assessor qualification.

Please note: this course is not eligible for government student finance (Student Loans Company funding).
